Job Summary
Load, unload, and sort freight, mail, and baggage safely while maintaining on-time departures and arrivals. Cruise on the tarmac using company vehicles to transport bags to their destinations. Perform physical tasks including carrying, bending, lifting, and turning bags weighing up to 75 pounds. Work in all weather conditions outside, with shifts that may include irregular hours, weekends, and holidays. This entry-level role offers paid on-the-job training and includes free travel for the employee and family across the American Airlines global network.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags weighing up to 75 pounds
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Authorized to work in U.S. without sponsorship
- Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended REAL ID-compliant, state driver's license; or otherwise maintain all necessary authority and identification to travel for business needs as required
