Job Summary
Ramp Agent responsible for safely loading/unloading baggage, cargo, and mail; guiding aircraft to/from gates; and supporting ground operations in a fast-paced, safety-compliant environment. Responsibilities include operating ground service equipment (tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks), marshalling aircraft, reading load sheets and baggage/cargo labels, adhering to safety protocols and airline regulations, and performing additional duties as assigned. Requires effective communication, ability to work in a team, and flexibility to cover varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Eligible to work in the United States with a valid driver’s license; able to pass background check and drug screen; must meet credentials/clearances as applicable (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs). Physical requirements include lifting up to 70 pounds and prolonged standing/walking in indoor/outdoor environments.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license
- Communicate effectively in English
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
- Flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
