Job Summary
Part-Time Ramp Agent at DFW Airport with responsibilities including loading/unloading baggage, cargo, and mail onto aircraft, marshalling aircraft to gates, and guiding aircraft on the ground. Requires operating ground service equipment, reading load sheets and baggage/cargo labels, ensuring safety and compliance with airline guidelines, and supporting ground operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Candidate must lift heavy objects, work flexible shifts, communicate effectively with team members and airline personnel, and adhere to safety standards. Prioritizes customer service and safety, with ability to adapt to changing flight schedules and priorities and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically (IPads/Tablets, Computers, Mobile Devices)
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients (in-person and electronic)
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs as applicable)
- Ability to work flexible shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft load sheets, baggage tags, cargo labels
- Compliance with safety protocols and airline regulations
- Team-oriented, customer-service focused
- Basic technical aptitude with ground support equipment (pushbacks, tugs, belt loaders, baggage carts)
- Proactive in maintaining safety and cleanliness
