Job Summary
Radiology Technician role based in Houston, TX (Part Time, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm) partnering with Village Medical team to ensure accessible, efficient patient care. Responsibilities include communicating appointment details to patients via phone, email, or patient portal; maintaining radiation safety practices; upholding sterile technique and sterile fields; documenting interactions in the patient’s EMR; ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality; and leveraging medical terminology in daily workflows. Requires completion of a two-year radiologic technology program and a radiology license, strong customer service and communication skills, ability to work independently, and proficient computer/EMR use.
Required Qualifications
- Two Year Program with accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Radiology Technology license
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Fluency in written and spoken English (medical terminology)
- Ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with basic computer operations and EMR
- Experience communicating with patients and staff
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
