Job Summary
Monitor assigned posts and surrounding areas to ensure the safety and security of the Wildwoods Convention Center facility, employees, guests, and visitors. Respond immediately to emergencies, disturbances, medical incidents, and alarms while assisting with crowd management, access control, and enforcement of facility rules. Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols to identify safety concerns, manage door access, and provide customer service and directions to guests. Communicate effectively via two-way radio and in-person with staff, management, and the public. Requires 1 year of public safety experience, English proficiency, and ability to work flexible hours including weekends and nights. On-site location in Wildwood, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of public safety or security experience
- Customer service background or equivalent work experience
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Good communication, leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work with the public and professionally handle confrontational situations
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including weekends and nights
- Some knowledge of computers and electronics
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, weekends and holidays, as needed
