Job Summary
Part-Time Bus Driver for Agape Youth & Family Center programs in Atlanta, GA. Responsible for safely transporting students and participants to and from schools, the center, homes, and off-site locations, following state driving laws, safety regulations, and Agape transportation policies. Responsibilities include completing daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintaining cleanliness and records (mileage, fuel, trip logs), reporting incidents, participating in safety training, and providing supervision and behavior support as needed. Requires CDL Class A or B with Passenger endorsement, clean MVR, background checks, drug screening, CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter certifications, ability to lift 25 lbs, and flexibility to work varied evenings/weekends. Bilingual (English/Spanish) and familiarity with Atlanta-area schools preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a school or commercial bus driver
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with Passenger (P) endorsement
- Clean driving record (MVR will be reviewed)
- Fingerprinting and Background Check
- Pre-employment and random drug screening
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Mandated Reporter certification
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist passengers as needed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Commitment to mission and safety policies
- Knowledge of safety and vehicle maintenance standards
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) - preferred
- Familiarity with Atlanta-area schools - preferred
