Job Summary
Conduct course instruction and coordination for the Medical Anatomy and Physiology lecture and laboratory series, including oversight of cadaver-based dissection and on-campus labs. Lead hands-on anatomical instruction in a collaborative, clinically integrated learning environment while teaching in areas of clinical and professional expertise. Evaluate student performance during objective structured clinical examinations, lab practicals, and technical skills training, and develop course examinations aligned with ARC-PA accreditation standards and the NCCPA Content Blueprint. Contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, and continuous quality improvement initiatives under program leadership guidance. Work 20 hours weekly with teaching workload assigned to meet program needs annually.
Required Qualifications
- Terminal degree in healthcare disciplines such as physician assistant, pharmacy, medical doctor, or public health
- Minimum of a Master's degree
- Eligibility for professional licensure/certification in the applicable state and healthcare discipline (if applicable)
- Active, valid, and unencumbered state license
- 2 years of clinical experience
- PAs must have graduated from an accredited PA program
- Current or emeritus NCCPA certification
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills with student and staff populations
- Superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, ExamSoft, and WebAdMIT
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years teaching experience in a graduate health-related profession
- Experience in PA/medical classroom teaching
