Job Summary
The role involves supervising students in clinical and simulation settings, maintaining accurate student records, and participating in the evaluation process for nursing program performance. Candidates must possess a valid Arkansas Nursing license and hold a degree or diploma relevant to the program. Responsibilities include attending faculty and advisory committee meetings, adhering to institutional policies, and ensuring a supportive educational environment. Preferred qualifications include effective communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Supervise students in the clinical and/or simulation setting
- Maintain student attendance and records as directed
- Document successful and unsuccessful performance in the clinical/simulation situation
- Assist in the evaluation process and grading of student performance
- Attend faculty meetings as determined by Program Director and/or Program Chair
- Participate in the systematic evaluation process of the nursing program
- Maintain working knowledge in teaching and nursing field
- Adhere to the UACCM Program Guide and Syllabi for Nursing students
- Serve as a positive role model for students, staff, and colleagues
Desired Qualifications
- Valid and unencumbered Arkansas Nursing license (RN preferred)
- Degree or diploma at or above the type of education program offered
- Current TB skin test (negative result) and CPR certification (Healthcare Provider)
- A minimum of one year of clinical nurse experience
- Commitment to working cooperatively with other campus personnel
