Job Summary

Teach graduate courses in the Department of Marriage and Family Sciences within a programmatic core discipline, engaging students and providing feedback in an online environment. Demonstrate commitment to the university's vision by promoting a culture of scholarship, teaching, and service while utilizing the NU One-to-One apprenticeship model. Participate in research, professional practice, and school-specific networking meetings alongside faculty and administrative leaders. Maintain student contact via phone, video conferencing, and email, and collaborate with advisors to ensure student success. Exercise academic freedom in course content and participate in program assessments. Complete initial and ongoing training, trial new technologies in teaching, and attend postdoctoral networking meetings. Maintain reasonable and consistent attendance to fulfill position requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution with academic qualifications in an area aligned with the mission and offerings of the Department of Marriage and Family Sciences

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience teaching, working with, and mentoring diverse students
  • Experience in graduate level coursework and clinical training
  • Proficiency in the use of technology in the delivery of education and online teaching experience
  • Curriculum development experience
  • Experience working in a technology-driven enterprise
  • Professional identity as a couple/marriage and family therapist
  • Graduation from a COAMFTE accredited program
  • AAMFT Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor
