Job Summary
Provide traffic control and security for property, guests, and patrons while enforcing applicable laws and department policies. Respond to incidents, complete required reports, and support facility personnel during emergency evacuations or lockdowns. Deescalate unsafe conditions, conduct security patrols in concourses and parking lots, and monitor access points to ensure authorized entry. Operate radio equipment, offer customer services like directional information and vehicle assistance, and secure high-value assets such as money rooms and cashier gates. Maintain active full-time status with a Texas law enforcement agency and attend requested training. Work inside or outside the facility as needed, standing for extended periods and working in inclement weather.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an active certified Full-Time Peace Officer in the State of Texas meeting all requirements of City, State and/or Federal jurisdictions.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must be able to perform traffic control and security duties.
- Must be able to respond to and enforce all applicable laws and respective agency policies.
- Must be able to complete incident reports as required by law and an internal report for NRG Park property.
- Must be able to support facility personnel in the event of an emergency to include evacuation, lock down or shelter-in-place responses.
- Must be able to deescalate potentially unsafe actions or conditions.
- Must be able to perform security related patrols in concourses, lobbies, or parking lots.
- Must be able to monitor access points to the NRG Park property and facilities to ensure only authorized entry is gained.
- Must be able to operate assigned radio equipment.
- Must be able to offer customer services such as directional information, vehicle jump-starts and escorts as necessary.
- Must be able to attend Guest Service-related trainings and orientations as requested.
- Must be able to monitor or secure high value assets such as money rooms, box offices, or Cashier gates.
- Must be able to move around the facility.
- Must be able to stand for long hours during events.
- Must be able to talk and hear.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time for (4) or more hours.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather as the position is routinely required to work outdoors and is exposed to the elements (heat, rain, etc.).
- Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
- Must be able to fulfill all obligations required by his/her law enforcement agency.
- Must be authorized to work an extra employment position.
- Must maintain an active, Full-Time status, with a State of Texas law enforcement agency.
- Must be able to provide traffic control and security for the property, facility, costumers, and patrons.
