Job Summary
Patrol Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) assets and properties to protect electricity generation and maintain public safety within the GRDA service area. Responsibilities include responding to information and initiating patrols, documenting calls for service clearly via dispatch, RMS, emails, and bulletins; preserving evidence at crime scenes; contributing to team success by adhering to scheduled work times, attending court appearances, and remaining available for calls during the shift. Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with rotating 8–12 hour shifts; field duties may involve patrolling by vehicle, UTV, or vessels. Preferred certifications include CLEET Full-Time Certification, Swift Water Rescue Technician, and Emergency Medical Responder, to be completed within the first year of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree plus two (2) years of Police Experience; or Four (4) or more years of Police experience
- CLEET Full-Time Certification preferred (must complete within one (1) year of employment)
- Swift Water Rescue Technician preferred (must complete within one (1) year of employment)
- Emergency Medical Responder preferred (must complete within one (1) year of employment)
- Must be 21 years of age or older; No felony convictions; No convictions of crimes of moral turpitude; Able to read, write, and understand the English language
- Valid state-issued Driver’s License (Oklahoma) within 30 days of employment
- Associate Degree plus two years of Police Experience; or Four or more years of Police experience
- Able to read, write, and understand English; background check; medical physical; drug screen; psychological exam
- Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays; rotating shifts; 8-12 hour shifts
