Job Summary
Teach private piano lessons and lead group classes at Melody Academy of Music locations in Palo Alto and Cupertino. Instruct students of all ages in a caring, fun environment that supports both beginners and advanced learners preparing for competitions. Teach other instruments if applicable. Submit a resume and cover letter to Rachel Stoltz via the portal. Work part-time with a base rate of $50/hour for group classes and $45-50/hour for private lessons. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available after 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Strong music background evidenced by a degree in piano performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience
- Demonstrated love of teaching
- Experience working with young musicians
- Robust appreciation for punctuality
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a routine background check
- Ability to teach other instruments (a plus)
