Job Summary
PE teachers design and lead engaging units that promote physical fitness, health, teamwork, and sportsmanship; they help students build lifelong fitness habits and develop motor skills through a variety of activities, and they mentor students year to year within Summit’s project‐based learning framework. This 0.2 FTE role runs daily from 2:05 PM to 3:30 PM and requires California teaching credentials, a bachelor’s degree, and a clear health/background check. The ideal candidate collaborates with mission-aligned colleagues, supports diverse students, engages in professional development, and contributes to Summit’s common curriculum and assessment system.
Required Qualifications
- California Teaching Credential to teach Physical Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree in Education preferred but not required)
