Part-Time Phlebotomist

Job Summary
Draw blood specimens via venipuncture or capillary method, ensuring accurate patient identification with two separate identifiers and labeling all samples with three identifiers. Prepare lab paperwork including requisitions, secure blood and urine specimens, and deliver them to the processing lab while maintaining integrity. Instruct patients on collection procedures, perform waived testing, and distribute final laboratory reports to physicians. Inventory supplies and place orders as needed. Work under direct supervision of medical technologists and medical laboratory technicians during day shifts from Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Completion of an approved community college-based phlebotomy training program
- BLS/CPR certification
- Shift: Day Shift (Monday through Friday)
- no weekends or holidays
