Job Summary
Join Octapharma Plasma as a Phlebotomist I, where you will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintain a high level of customer service, and handle donor procedures, including venipunctures and plasma collection. You will operate automated plasmapheresis machines, monitor donor conditions for safety, and manage biohazard waste. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with strong customer service skills and the ability to follow protocols. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary to accommodate various shift requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent (GED) required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal protocol required.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals required.
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Demonstrates consistency and reliability required.
- Ability to perform venipunctures required.
- Effective communication skills required.
Desired Qualifications
- Any specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
- Minimum three (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
