Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug, paternity, and alcohol tests. Enter patient data accurately and timely, process billing and payments, and prepare specimens for analysis. Maintain patient and specimen logs while providing superior customer service. Handle administrative duties and travel to additional sites when needed. Work rotating weekends from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Requires high school diploma, three months phlebotomy experience, and ability to pass a color blindness test.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 months or more of phlebotomy experience
- Reliable transportation
- Clean driving record if applicable
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work weekends
- 2:30PM - 11:00PM shift availability
- Rotating schedule availability
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
