Job Summary
Part-Time Pediatric PDN 3rd Shift: As a Nurse you will provide in-home direct patient care to pediatric clients according to the provider's plan of care, monitor progress, administer medications (including insulin and IV fluids), and document thoroughly. Responsibilities include wound care, assessments of patient conditions (vitals, stool/urine, glucose), reporting changes, and collaborating with providers and care TEAM to ensure optimal outcomes. Qualifications include an Associate degree in Nursing (or AAS), current unrestricted RN license in the state, CPR/BLS/First Aid certification, reliable transportation, and pediatric/trach/ventilator experience preferred. Flexible scheduling with 20 hours per week, 3rd shift, in SE Indiana (Richmond, IN). 1:1 patient care, in-home direct care, and care coordination are core duties.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Nursing (AND) or Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS)
- Current unrestricted RN license in the state of employment
- Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification
- Reliable transportation to/from care sites and/or work locations
- Practical trach and/or ventilator experience preferred, not required
- In-home direct patient care per provider plan of care
- Experience documenting patient conditions and reporting changes
- Ability to administer medications, insulin, and IV/fluids; thorough documentation
- Wound care including dressing changes and hygiene assistance
- Ability to assess for further injuries, infections, bedsores; provide appropriate treatments
- Collaborative work with providers, aides, and allied health professionals
