Job Summary
Conduct routine assistive tasks to assist the Registered Nurse with basic patient needs, including bathing, feeding, and ambulation. Accurately monitor patient inputs and outputs while completing and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and oxygenation. Report abnormal values to the registered nurse and implement fall prevention measures under direction. This Part Time role covers Stepdown Unit Nights at Prisma Health's 1510 Richland Hospital facility, requiring completion of a Nursing Assistant or CNA course and the unit secretary training within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current or former CNA certification as proof of completed state required training at time of hire
- Current or former CMA certification as proof of completed required training at time of hire
- Successful completion of Prisma Health unit secretary course and training within 90 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Previous nursing assistant, medical assistant or related experience
- One year hospital clerical experience
