Job Summary
Greet and welcome patients in person, collecting demographic and insurance information while entering data into the electronic medical record. Check in and interview patients to complete appropriate paperwork, verify eligibility and benefits, and resolve claim issues or registration errors. Direct patients to appointments, collect co-pays, and screen for financial assistance programs. Provide customer service for inbound and outbound calls and document all resolutions in the system. Work 1-3 weekdays per week and every other weekend from 10:30am to 7:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, food service, bank/office settings, call center, or other settings that engages with customers
- 6+ months of revenue cycle experience in a healthcare/hospital setting (clinic/hospital registration, scheduling, prior authorization, insurance verification, medical billing and follow up, benefits eligibility, etc.)
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work 1-3 weekdays per week, and every other weekend from 10:30am - 7:00pm
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass a drug test before beginning employment
