Job Summary
Greet and welcome patients in person, collecting demographic and insurance data to enter into electronic medical records. Conduct patient interviews to complete paperwork, direct them to appointments, and resolve claim or registration errors. Verify insurance eligibility, explain cost information, collect co-pays, and screen applicants for financial assistance programs. Provide customer service for inbound and outbound calls, assist with request forms, and obtain necessary signatures. Mentor staff as needed and complete other duties as assigned. Requires 6+ months of customer service experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Schedule includes a 4-week rotating rotation from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work the following 4-week rotating schedule from 7:00am - 3:30pm
- Week 1: Saturday, Sunday, Thursday & Friday
- Week 2: Monday, Thursday & Friday
- Week 3: Saturday, Sunday & Friday
- Week 4: Monday & Friday
- Ability to work standard daytime hours, Mon-Fri for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Consistent walking, standing, bending, turning, etc.
- Lifting weight Up to 10 lbs. occasionally, up to 2-5 lbs. frequently
