Part Time Patient Access Representative Associate

Job Summary
Greet and welcome patients in person, collecting demographic and insurance information while checking them in to complete appropriate paperwork. Direct patients to their appointments, resolve claim issues or registration errors, and verify eligibility and benefits for complex billing situations. Obtain cost information, collect co-pays, and screen patients for financial assistance programs, providing counseling on application processes. Assist with request forms, obtain signatures, and gather medical record information as needed. Provide customer service for inbound and outbound telephone calls and offer technical direction to staff. Work an average of 20 hours weekly, including Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00pm to 3:30am, following a standard registration process within an electronic medical record.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work an average of 20 hours/week, in 1-2 shifts per week and every other Saturday & Sunday, from 7:00pm - 3:30am
- Ability to attend 3 weeks of training within standard daytime hours upon hire
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs occasionally and 2-5 lbs frequently
