Job Summary
Greet and welcome patients in person, collecting demographic and insurance data to enter into the electronic medical record. Interview patients to complete paperwork, verify eligibility, and resolve claim issues or registration errors. Direct patients to appointments, obtain signatures, and explain cost information or financial assistance programs. Provide customer service for inbound and outbound telephone calls, assist with request forms, and gather medical record information as needed. Mentor staff and perform other duties as assigned. Requires 6+ months of customer service experience, Microsoft Office proficiency, and ability to work rotating daytime hours Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, food service, bank/office settings, call center, or other settings that engages with customers, etc.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work standard daytime hours, Monday - Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule
- Ability to work the following rotating schedule: Week 1: Sun: 6:00a-2:30p, Wed: 7:00a-3:30p, Thu: 6:00a-2:30p, Week 2: Wed: 7:00a-3:30p, Thu: 6:00a-2:30p
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Consistent walking, standing, bending, turning, etc.
- Lifting weight Up to 10 lbs. occasionally, up to 2-5 lbs. frequently
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
