Part Time Patient Access Representative Associate

Job Summary
Greet and welcome patients in person while collecting demographic, insurance, and financial data. Complete registration processes by entering information into the electronic medical record and directing patients to appointments. Verify insurance eligibility, resolve claim issues, and explain cost information or financial assistance options. Screen and approve patients for financial programs, obtain signatures, and assist with request forms. Provide customer service for inbound and outbound calls, mentor staff as needed, and perform other duties as assigned. Work standard daytime hours Monday through Friday for the first three weeks, followed by an every-other-weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, food service, bank/office settings, call center, or other settings that engages with customers, etc.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work standard daytime hours, Monday - Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule
- Ability to work the following schedule - Week 1: Monday 2:30p-11:00p, Wednesday 3:30p-12:00a, Saturday 2:30p-11:00p, Week 2: Sunday 2:30p-11:00p, Friday 2:30p-11:00p
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
