Job Summary
Paraprofessional role supporting students under supervision of teachers in a Tecumseh Junior High classroom. Responsibilities include assisting with arrival/departure, escorting students between locations, assisting with personal hygiene and daily living activities, supporting functional assessment and instructional activities, tutoring small groups, facilitating adaptive/assistive technologies, implementing behavior management strategies, recording attendance and records, attending IEP meetings as requested, and preparing instructional materials. Requires 48 hours of earned credit or passing the ParaPro assessment; certification may be earned after start at a lower rate. Part-time schedule during school sessions (hours 8:30 am–2:45 pm, 28.75 hours/week) with PTO benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 48 hours of earned credit or
- Passed the ParaPro assessment (may start without the ParaPro certification at a lower pay rate until the certification has been earned)
