Job Summary
Provide 1:1 student support, access to support, and program support for students receiving special education services. Assist with personal care needs, explain curriculum expectations following teacher directives, and provide positive guidance that communicates dignity and respect. Work Monday through Friday when instruction is in session, up to 29 hours per week, at a starting wage of $16/hour based on the Midland Federation of Paraprofessionals Master Bargaining Agreement. Maintain dependable attendance and demonstrate proven organization and time management skills while working professionally with staff, students, parents, and other providers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be Highly Qualified
- Completed at least two years of college coursework with 60+ credits
- Hold an Associate's Degree or higher
- ParaPro Assessment - Qualifying score of 460+
- Proven organization and time management skills
- Dependable Attendance
- Ability to explain curriculum expectations following directive from teacher
- Ability to work professionally with staff, students, parents and other providers
- Ability to provide positive guidance to students in a manner that communicates dignity and respect
- Basic understanding of technology
- Ability to assist with personal care needs
- Able to sit, stand, bend, and walk frequently
- Some lifting may be required
- Experience and/or knowledge of behavioral management techniques

Desired Qualifications
