Job Summary
Conduct donor eligibility determinations, including informed consent, medical history interviews, and physical examinations at plasma centers. Manage donor adverse events, evaluate reactions per SOPs, and coordinate transport for medical emergencies. Review laboratory test results, specifically Serological Protein Electrophoresis, and notify donors of unsuitable findings. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees while managing occupational health incidents. Maintain environmental, health, and safety compliance and serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized. Requires current RN, NP, or PA licensure, CPR/AED certification, and two years of clinical experience. Located in Thornton, CO, with an hourly wage range of $28.16–$38.72.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
- Weekends only
