Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Communicate with patients and families to assure care is being delivered. Act as team leader for scene and unit management, driving ambulances on 911 responses while collaborating with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires a State Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certification, with availability for a two-week Monday–Friday orientation (0800–1600) followed by 2–3 days per week. Part of Global Medical Response's family of emergency and patient relocation services.
Required Qualifications
- Part-time position requires availability to attend a two-week orientation, Monday–Friday, 0800–1600, and to work 2–3 days per week during training
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
