Job Summary
Load, unload, and sort freight accurately to ensure quick delivery. Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes, then stack items into trailers by zip code, city, or state to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently. Wash fleet vehicles as needed and perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean warehouse environment. Work Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at a rate of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. This role supports Spee Dee Delivery's core business of standard, next-day ground delivery across the Midwest.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
