Job Summary
Two-person married-couple role at Milton Hershey School to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents living in on-campus student homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship of 8–13 students, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Initial schedule features nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with benefits including salary per person, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated ability to lead students in devotions and chapel services
