Job Summary
Perform overnight cleaning, stocking, and maintenance tasks to ensure Café 77 is fully prepared for daily service. Complete daily task lists provided at the start of each shift, which may include fryer cleaning, floor and dining room cleaning, stocking dry and refrigerated shelves, hood vent cleaning, and organizing kitchen areas. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards in all assigned work areas while adhering to departmental guidelines. This part-time role requires 20 hours per week across four days from 1:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. at Washington and Lee University Dining Services. Candidates must be able to follow directions, use basic computer applications, and pass a background check.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to multitask with various needs of the business
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and provide responses in writing
- Ability to use computers to read and respond to emails and to use basic applications
- Must be committed to following departmental standards and guidelines to ensure the safety of self and others
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check
- Must be able to work overnight shifts (1:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.)
- Must be able to work four days per week
- Must be able to work 20 hours per week
- Must be able to work hours limited to 29 or fewer per week
- Must be able to work fewer than 999 hours in the employee's anniversary year
- Must be able to work in a non-benefit eligible position
