Part-Time/On Call Paramedic - Buchanan County

Assess call situations using progressive protocols and operate medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, and IV fluids to provide advanced patient care. Drive the ambulance for 911 responses while acting as team leader for scene and unit management. Communicate with patients and families to ensure they understand care is being delivered. Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires State Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certification, and a compliant driving record. Starting pay is $26.44 per hour for part-time roles with on-call availability in Independence, IA.
