Job Summary
Drive to locations to deliver and/or pick up product. Fill out required paperwork and represent Erb Transport professionally while delivering customer service. On-call, part-time local DZ driver responsible for safe operation, pre/post-trip inspections, compliance with hours of service and regulations, loading/unloading, and telematic device operation; involves up to 1-20 deliveries/pickups daily with no set start/end times, flexible shifts and slip seating. Must have 1 year driving experience, appropriate licensing, ability to pass drug test, provide CVOR and driver abstract, and be capable of lifting up to 80lbs. Remote work not applicable; primarily in-person at Mississauga, ON; compensation listed as mileage and hourly pay in CAD. The employer emphasizes equal opportunity and accommodation support.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year verifiable driving experience
- Meet licensing requirements for the specific job opening
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and health survey
- CVOR, Driver abstract and a copy of a drivers license must be provided at time of interview
- Employment reference check will be completed
- Drivers must be able to bend, lift and carry freight up to 80lbs
- Criminal record check will be required
- Required to wear PPE (provided by The Erb Group)
