Job Summary
Advising pre-nursing, nursing-interested, and in-program nursing students on academic plans, schedules, and career goals while maintaining FERPA-compliant records. Manage the campus nursing Peer Mentor program, oversee tutoring schedules, and facilitate student success workshops and initiatives. Support admissions by hosting information sessions, reviewing applications, scheduling orientation, and coordinating with the Admission, Progression, and Graduation committee. Oversee the nursing survey distribution and completion process, assist with NCLEX preparation, and maintain alumni contact lists. Represent the School of Nursing at campus and community recruiting events, manage inventory of digital forms, and respond to help desk tickets for the online application system.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Associate's degree with approved academic plan for matriculation to bachelor's degree
- One (1) year clerical experience
- Two (2) years of experience in applicable student support role
- Competent using technologies including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, text messaging systems, virtual applications (Zoom, Teams, etc.), GoogleDocs, etc.
- Excellent organizational, communication, human relations, and self-directed work skills within a team environment and ability to keep information confidential
- Dependable, responsible, willingness to work and learn, and excellent human relations skills
- Ability to keep information confidential
- Must demonstrate ability to promote an environment that reflects the broad backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued
Desired Qualifications
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
