Job Summary
Part-time role providing mental health services to adults in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Works within an integrated care model with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and psychotherapists. Supervision from a psychiatrist with emphasis on training and collaboration; independent practice with support from a psychiatric team; monthly educational activities (case conferences, journal review). Cooperates with primary care providers and psychotherapists; shared responsibilities with a medical assistant for scheduling, charting, and admin duties. Operates within an integrated electronic health record system; emphasizes flexible work-life balance; values innovative, growing healthcare environment; offers full benefits typical of medical positions. Location: Muncie, Indiana.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution and a current and valid license to practice medicine issued by the state in which you reside Medical Board.
- OR
- Have graduated from a physician assistant educational program that is accredited by a National Commission on Accreditation of Allied Education Programs.
- Have passed the national certification examination of the National Commission on Accreditation of Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Licensed by the state in which you reside as a Physician Assistant.
- Specialization in geriatric, family, or psychiatry desired.
