Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests. Accurately document patient encounters, progress notes, and relevant information in electronic medical records. Advise patients on preventative care and optimal health practices while ensuring quality of tests performed. Relay information between clinics and physicians as needed and refer patients for further diagnostic testing. Work as a temporary contract nurse practitioner for 24 weeks, with the selected candidate added to the per-diem staffing pool upon contract completion.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program
- Passing a national certification exam administered by organizations such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB)
- State licensure as an NP
- Adult patient population experience
- Excellent judgment and discretion, ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Detail oriented while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess a wide range of medical conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of diagnostic equipment and procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
