Job Summary
Coordinate overall health and wellness services for residents in the Greentree Adolescent Program-Residence, developing policies for medical treatment planning and monitoring. Maintain and update medical records, including developmental assessments and immunization data, while ensuring compliance with doctors' orders for medication administration. Conduct medical screening assessments on new residents and facilitate health education groups. Function as a liaison between NCCF, psychiatrists, and referring physicians to develop individual treatment plans and intervention strategies. Provide training to staff on First Aid, CPR, infection control, and emergency management. Perform TB tests, obtain medical supplies, and advocate for residents' healthcare needs to local and state decision-making bodies. Weekend shift (Friday–Sunday). BSN or RN with three years of experience, including direct patient care with children and adolescents.
Required Qualifications
- Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday
- BSN or RN plus three (3) years of experience
- Direct patient care experience with children and adolescents, preferably in residential settings
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Commitment to and understanding of the residential treatment milieu and relevant teamwork orientation
- Demonstration of cross-cultural competencies
- An attitude compatible with the goals and purposes of the National Center for Children and Families
- Talk and hear
- Sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Occasionally stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Close vision working with a computer monitor
Desired Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR, medication administration and monitoring, infection control, and the prevention and/or management of health emergencies
