Job Summary
Part-time Nurse Navigator coordinates patient care within RN scope in an oncology/infusion setting. Responsibilities include educating patients and families, telephone assessment and care planning, liaising between infusion nursing and providers, making referrals to supportive care services, coordinating end-of-life care, and supporting survivorship. Requires nursing knowledge of oncology treatments and related accreditation/certification requirements; strong assessment, triage, and patient/family education skills; and experience with oncology patients. Eligible candidate holds an Alabama RN license with an Associate’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred) and may have weekend/holiday call rotation after 1 year. BLS and chemotherapy certification/training preferred; 3+ years nursing experience with oncology exposure recommended.
