Job Summary

Conduct health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment, performing a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of data, and technical tasks necessary to produce images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services while maintaining a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Complete an AMA-approved radiologic technologist training program and maintain certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or equivalent national or state registration. Work full-time day shifts in the Nuclear Medicine department at the Torrance hospital campus.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program
  • National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology or California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
  • 6 months experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year
  • 1 year experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program)
