Job Summary
Night Auditor responsible for conducting night audit operations to uphold financial controls and hotel standards. Coordinates with Security and Housekeeping to ensure quality service. Responsibilities include preparing the daily Revenue Report by auditing POS tapes/journals, running front office audit reports, making corrections as needed, inputting revenue/expenses into the front office system to generate daily summaries (Guest Ledger and Daily Restaurant Summary), balancing revenue and settlement accounts nightly, and maintaining readiness for next-day operations. Requires basic math, proficiency with a moderately complex computer system, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt communication style for diverse audiences. This role is located at The Laura Hotel in Houston, TX and is part-time with a typical shift aligned to night audit operations.
Required Qualifications
- Hotel experience preferred
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform accurate calculations using a 10-key
- Ability to input information into a moderately complex computer system
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to balance revenue and settlement accounts nightly
