Part- time News Editor/Photographer

Job Summary
Operate television and video cameras to record images for news reports, special projects, and live remote broadcasts. Set up, compose, and execute video shots while maintaining and troubleshooting editing equipment. Edit raw footage into continuous sequences for newscasts, trim segments, and apply audio and visual effects using computer systems and digital video units. Confer with reporters to discuss assignments, logistics, and shot requirements, then review assembled footage to determine necessary corrections. Work independently or on packages to produce final products for television and eMedia content. Proficiency with Adobe creative suite preferred; ability to work any shift required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Minimum two years' experience operating video recording and video editing equipment
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work any shift
