Part-Time Nail Technician Instructor guiding nail technology education at Highland Community College. Teaches state-mandated subjects (nail anatomy, sterilization, OSHA standards, acrylics, light-cured gels), prepares students for Illinois State Board exams, oversees student services on public, and maintains records of hours, grades, and attendance. Requires Illinois Nail Technology Teacher or Cosmetology Teacher license, High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years of recent full-time nail technician experience, and a course on abnormal skin growth including melanoma. Salary $31.66-$36.59 per hour; schedule 28 hours/week (Mon/Wed/Fri 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.).
Required Qualifications
- Illinois Nail Technology Teacher license OR Cosmetology Teacher license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of full-time experience as a practicing nail technician within the last 5 years
- Completed one-time, approved course on abnormal skin growth education, including training on identifying melanoma
