Job Summary
Oversee athletic training, strength and conditioning workouts, and provide technical support and training to middle school girls lacrosse athletes. Mentor student-athletes in good sportsmanship and fair play while monitoring conduct during practices and games. Instruct players on basic rules and fundamentals, implement training programs for the Athletic Development Program, and manage athlete registration and evaluations. Ensure a safe environment by checking playing areas and equipment before each session and prevent injuries through balanced workouts. Attend rules interpretation meetings, mandatory coaches' meetings, and provide oversight of athletic training.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (American Red Cross/American Heart Association)
- Lacrosse experience
- General knowledge of best practices in interscholastic athletics and Lacrosse, specifically
- Three years of minimum related experience is preferred
- Able to work in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts
- Works in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20-50 pounds
- Exceptional ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written, visual, and non-verbal communication skills, as well as deep listening skills to gain understanding
- Possesses and applies the skills, values, and principles that acknowledge, respect, contribute, and work effectively across cultural differences
- Demonstrates high levels of self/social awareness, self-management, empathy, and curiosity
- Positively collaborates and builds/maintains authentic and trusting relationships

- Light travel between the MS and US campuses
- Travel to and from competitions in the Bay Area, and potential overnight travel for regional and state competitions within California (if the team qualifies)
