Job Summary
Part-time middle school cross-country coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include conducting practice sessions and games, scheduling practices and games in consultation with the Director of Athletics, verifying student eligibility with appropriate forms, monitoring and reporting injuries, maintaining safety standards, motivating student athletes to perform, and collaborating with school personnel to support academic programming. The role requires knowledge of Catholic teachings, ability to communicate effectively, and adherence to EIM policies, with required CPR/first aid certification and a Texas driver’s license. The position is connected to the Catholic school mission and reports through the Director of Athletics to the Principal, with evaluation by the Principal in consultation with the Director of Athletics. Working hours include some nights and weekends and the role involves working in standard school conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school or equivalent
- Experience: Previous coaching and/or playing experience
- Certifications and Training: Current CPR certification and first aid training
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application within first week of employment and Basic abuse prevention training within 60 days
- Able to work some nights and weekends
- Must be able to manage high to moderate levels of stress
- Must be able to work a full school day
- Follows Catholic School Standards of Conduct and Diocese policies
