Job Summary
Lead psychosocial and psychoeducational groups daily, teaching coping skills, emotional regulation, and independent living skills while maintaining structure and engagement. Assist members with Activities of Daily Living and Independent Living Skills, including hygiene, routines, and personal accountability. Supervise community outings and appointments, encouraging positive social interaction, and transport members safely using agency vehicles when approved. De-escalate challenging or volatile behaviors and respond appropriately to emotional or behavioral outbursts following all safety and crisis intervention protocols. This frontline behavioral health role supports adults with serious mental illness in a structured Psychosocial Rehabilitation program at the H.U.F. Center.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Virginia Driver's License with a clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Handle With Care (or equivalent crisis training)
- TB Screening
- Criminal Background & Central Registry Clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain: CPR/First Aid Certification
- Must be able to obtain and maintain: Handle With Care (or equivalent crisis training)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain: TB Screening
- Must be able to obtain and maintain: Criminal Background & Central Registry Clearance
- Some Saturday shifts required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in mental health, behavioral health, or human services
