Part time Medication Aide / QMAP - Evening

Job Summary
Set up medications, perform narcotic counts, and administer treatments while taking vital signs and weighing residents. Check MARs for errors, document medical changes, and ensure all lab work and physician orders are filed. Assist residents with showers, grooming, dressing, toileting, and activities of daily living per care plans. Answer call lights, escort residents to dining, serve meals, and handle laundry transport. Clean up incidents, assist with falls, and provide tours to potential residents. Maintain resident confidentiality, attend required training, and act as shift leader when assigned. Work 2pm to 10pm shifts with moderate physical activity and lifting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in medication administration
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Must be able to lift residents in excess of 100 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and reach
- Must be able to handle objects up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to handle objects up to 20 pounds frequently
- Must show compassion and genuinely care for the elderly and disabled
- Must be knowledgeable of the location of the SDS sheets on hazardous materials
- Must be able to understand the guidelines for hazardous materials
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize workload as emergencies arise
- Ability to work in stressful situations with residents, families, visitors, and other staff
- Must have knowledge and skills to administer medications safely
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
