Job Summary
Greet and register patients, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments using electronic health record systems. Answer incoming calls, direct patients to appropriate staff, and assist providers by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations. Maintain accurate medical records ensuring HIPAA compliance, coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times, and manage billing documentation. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical assistant or receptionist role within a healthcare setting
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical training
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
- Completion of a medical assistance training
Desired Qualifications
