Job Summary
Medical Assistant in OB/GYN clinic provides support to ensure efficient patient flow, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, phlebotomy, administering vaccines, and assisting with procedures. Administrative duties include scheduling, charting, collecting referrals, handling front-desk tasks, and coordinating with the provider team. Requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills, familiarity with Meditech/i-heal, and ability to work collaboratively in a clinical setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support required
- CMA - Certified Medical Assistant certificate preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to work as a team
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (Meditech, i-heal)
