Job Summary
Collaborate with the Nurse to determine shift assignments, communicate task completion status, and triage calls. Maintain timely verbal communication to ensure patient care and clinic operations, while collecting, collating, and entering patient data accurately into databases. Treat patients with confidentiality and dignity, assist with personal hygiene, and escort patients to off-site appointments or facilitate transportation. Check weekly inventories, order supplies, and maintain a clean work environment. Perform duties at mobile clinic sites, including driving when assigned. Requires 1 year of MA experience, current Arizona driver's license, CPR/BLS certification, and proficiency in English with bi-lingual skills preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training course
- Able to obtain vital signs accurately
- Ability to use personal computer for recording patient data /history
- Proficient in reading and writing skills in English
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
- Demonstrated interest in working with an underserved population
- 1 years of MA experience
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR/BLS certification
- Requires a current Arizona state driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a medical environment highly desirable
- Bi-lingual communicative skills preferred
