Job Summary
Provide personalized, one-on-one math instruction to K–8 students based on individual learning needs and goals. Assess understanding and adapt teaching pace to support different learning styles. Use Think Zone curriculum resources to deliver engaging lessons and foster a supportive environment that builds student confidence and math skills. Track student progress and provide regular feedback to support growth; maintain professional communication with parents and students. Schedule requires 2–4 hours per day, three times per week, with a strong preference for weekend availability at the Think Zone Learning Center in Union City. Pay range is $18.50–$20.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Strong math proficiency, with at least a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education or a background in education is a plus
- Clear and effective communication skills; ability to explain math concepts clearly
- Patience and empathy when working with students of varying ages and abilities
- Ability to personalize instruction based on individual student needs and progress
- Strong organizational skills to track student performance and manage multiple learning plans
- Reliable and professional with a strong sense of responsibility for student success
