Job Summary
Part-Time Material Control Specialist responsible for inventory management and requisitions in the Rochester warehouse, transporting materials between NY and CT, handling customer needs at the counter and cable yard, and maintaining storeroom organization. Requires forklift operation with certification (or ability to certify quickly), ability to drive company vehicle for inter-state transport, and adherence to safety protocols. Must be able to move and lift up to 100 pounds. Strong written and verbal communication, math and problem-solving skills, customer service and teamwork, and basic computer skills (Word/Excel); familiarity with systems such as Lotus Notes and PeopleSoft is a plus. Additional duties and tasks as required by the company.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid state driver’s license
- Certified Fork Truck Operator or ability to certify within 30 days
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Mathematical and problem-solving skills related to inventory
- Demonstrated customer service and teamwork
- General computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Familiarity with Lotus Notes and PeopleSoft
